The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
Helping children develop and learn – What is it?
The Revised Early Years Foundation Stage 2012 (EYFS) is an integrated approach to the care & education for children from birth to the end of the Foundation stage (0-5). It seeks to ensure that each child receives a quality experience that supports their development and learning. At First Step we consider the individuality of each child & offer a unique programme of experience & learning.
Activities reflect the achievements & interests of the children.
The EYFS principles that guide the work of all practitioners are:
A Unique Child, Positive Relationships, Enabling Environments, Learning & Development
