SIB Club

Do you have a brother or sister with special needs? Are you aged 8 – 13 and living in Havering? If so, the Sib Club is especially for you! + it’s free!

You can take part in all sorts of exciting things such as trips out, talking with others, food and fun and games!

Sometimes it is nice to hear that you are not the only one who has a brother or sister with special needs. At the Sib Club, as well as having lots of fun, going on trips and sharing the great things about who we are, we can also share the things that sometimes get us down. The group never has more than 15 young people so that we can all get to know each other and there are three adult facilitators; Andi, Richard and Tina.

An important thing about Sib Club is that members have an agreement that they do not tell anyone else outside of Sib Club what other members say. This is so that everyone feels safe enough to say what they want to about themselves or about their brother or sister without worrying that what they have said will ‘get back’.

We meet once a week for 8 weeks in the hall at First Step's premises in Tangmere Crescent.On one of these evenings we go on an outing and we also go on a day trip on a Saturday toward the end of the 8 weeks.
